I have just discovered the website Quora ! Pop along and have a look at some of the questions being answered. It really does cover every possible subject. Not sure how I missed this site before, I find it quite intriguing. I'm going to have to restrict the time I spend on there answering questions or I may lose a few hours! A Vlog called, "Just Ask Kathleen".
This year, towards the end of December (2017 in case you're wondering when this post was written!) I will be starting a Vlog to help answer "every day" problems for my followers. If you would like my advice just email me on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will read out your email, keeping your identity anonymous, and giving you my guidance, opinion and advice.
I wanted to offer this as a way of reaching out to those who, for whatever reason, don't feel able to come forward for support.
The good thing about a Vlog is that when one person has their problem answered we can be pretty sure that others with the same type of problem can be helped too.
This is not meant to be a replacement for medical or psychiatric support, but my role will be more aligned with one of an "Agony Aunt" where I will take your issues seriously and give you my advice as a solution focused psychotherapist and reverse therapist with over 14 years experience.
Expect the whole spectrum of issues to be answered truthfully and in my own style. I look forward to supporting more people from every corner of the world! With love, Kathleen x

I'll be London bound soon for a gathering of Reverse Therapists..not sure what the collective term for that is..a gaggle? A swarm? Who knows?
It'll be lovely to meet up with the RT community of therapists again, as we are spread far and wide and though technology means we can "see" each other and have Skype or Facetime catch ups it's not the same as being there, chatting, sharing and laughing together. I'm giving a talk on Self-Compassion, something I have noticed is often missing in the life of a client. On that note, how are you at looking after yourself? Whatever your situation at work or at home it is essential to make sure you make time to look after yourself. Your health depends on it!

A Balanced Week
I am available for sessions by phone/skype/facetime or clinic (contact me for details) at these times:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9am - 6pm
Fridays 9am -12pm
I have blocked out all day on a Thursday and from 12pm on a Friday so that I can practice what I preach and create balance & variety in my working week....no point in me rabbiting on about the importance of balance if I'm not doing it myself!

Three cheers for the new router!
I am delighted to report that I eventually got to the bottom of the issues I've been having with my wi-fi...and now that a new router is in place I am able to provide Skype and Facetime sessions wherever you are in the world without all the freezing screen nonsense! Availability of Sessions
My sessions are available to clients in the UK and worldwide by landline telephone. Living where I do, the ability to do Skype or Facetime is a bit compromised. I'm hoping the broadband (if that's what the problem is?) will improve enough in the not too distant future, that I can confidently offer Skype/Facetime , but for now phone sessions are the most effective way for me to work with clients.
I will update the information on here regarding clinics, where you can work with me face to face. Currently I'm looking at finding two clinics in locations covering Tayside/Angus and the Moray/Highland areas.
Updating my Skills
Mindfulness has always played a large part in my reverse therapy work, recently I signed up for an online course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I have enjoyed learning new techniques, though there has been a fair bit of an overlap with what I already teach my clients, it's always good to add another dimension to my own learning, that I can then pass on to my clients.

Good news! After the calamity of dropping my 3 day old iphone 6 rendering it useless for receiving or making calls unless I was in the car using bluetooth...I have a new phone arriving on Monday October 17th! This does mean a new number.. and here it is... 07886 234 559

A reminder not to dwell on the bad times
This is not really "latest news" material, but I wanted to surprise the person searching my website with this little reminder on staying well!
Even when times are tough, it's not impossible to remind yourself of better times.
Looking back over photos, or speaking to old friends can be a good place to start - but this is not to be done so you can wallow in self pity about the good old days, when the sun shone and everything seemed so much better - but it is to remind you of the potential of what you are> able to achieve!

Growing & Changing
Not sure if this should be in the latest news bit of my website..but here it is anyway! I like to think that I practice what I preach...and I do preach! So as I reach 12 years working as a reverse therapist I realise more and more the importance of balance and the crucial aspect of finding a way to experience all aspects of whatever we find fulfilling. With that in mind over the next 6 - 12 months I will continue to take on new clients, but I'll also be spending more time tapping into my creativity with me trying out new arty things I've always wanted to experience. My 3 day wood turning course was an absolute joy, next on my list is pottery. Watch this space!

Today (15th May) I discovered I couldn't find my work phone..this is the one I use for all my RT work. I'm over 90% sure it's somewhere in this house. I've tried ringing it but it goes straight to the answer phone so it must be switched off or the battery has died. Well, me and my Miss Marple skills are currently being put to the test!
